The Crybook Wordpress Theme

I like the new Wordpress template of Papa Ces's blog. He currently uses the Crybook theme which resembles the look and feel of Facebook.

I especially prefer the great combination of the blue and white colors. The white background makes it so much easier to read the text. Plus there's an automatic picture of the blogger or the blog owner on the upper right side of the sidebar. If you ask me, that's a very nice addition to a theme.

Sometimes I wish that there's a Crybook version of that template here for Blogger users so I can test it with this blog. I surely would like the change on the look but I still want to retain the clean, white background.

The Rains Keep Coming Back

Just when I thought the rains have stopped, here it is again. It has been raining non-stop since this morning, and it's already late in the afternoon right now.

I love the rain. I love the chill that it brings and the memories that it reminds me (I don't know why but I love to reminisce when it's raining), but the fact remains that my clothes are still far from getting dry because of it.

:)

Well, it's just a minor complaint. So I'd say let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Smores?

I know Smores, it's just that I haven't tried one. It's not that popular here in the Philippines. But I get to hear about that much from people in the United States.

Anyway, if being a Smore(s) is being unconventional, then I really like that. Because it also means I've got personality.

:)

Well, that's what this mini survey says of me.

You Are Smores

Unusual and unconventional, you make your strange ways work for you.

You've got personality - no one's denying that!

Living in the Province

Here in the Philippines, living in the province has some really great benefits. I can site a few:

1. It's generally more peaceful. Peaceful both in having less crimes and less worries of anything ill befalling you which would normally happen in the big cities like getting robbed. There is also the matter of less noise especially at night. Perhaps the only noise one would hear when he's getting read to sleep is the sound of the crickets. In the morning, the cock-a-doodle-dooing of the roosters are music to the ears.

2. Cost of living is cheaper. Yes, it is cheaper to live day in and day out if you're in the province. Transportation is generally cheaper, houses are cheaper, and the market prices are also lower compared to the metropolis.

3. Air is fresher. Depending on where you are, the air in the province is more often a lot fresher. Thanks to the distance from all the vehicles of the cities, the factories and whatever else that can cause a person's lungs to revolt.

:)

If given the chance, meaning if I can afford to go away from the city, I would like to live in the province and experience what they call a simpler way of living.

Silence is Golden

I live in a fairly middle-class village or subdivision and when we first moved here, I was amazed at how silent the whole place was. The homeowners' association was strict in implementing their rules, including of course the rule to observe silence. This means that no one is allowed to play loud music unless there is a party. If there's a party, the homeowner must first get a permit.

But lately there is a certain fellow that has this penchant for videokes and he has started to rouse the anger of his neighbors. We don't live near his place but we do pass by it every day. Even at night he would belch out songs from his videoke machine. He has a good voice, I give him that, but the village is not the right place to showcase his talent.

I've heard this is a petition going on to file a formal complaint against him.

Say 'Thank You' Always

I have noticed that most people are not saying 'Thank You' when it is properly due.

When riding the jeepney and someone helped you out by taking your fare and giving it to the driver, the ideal thing to say is 'thank you'. But no, I seldom here those words in such a situation.

'Thank you' is a very important word that should be religiously said by everybody. I am sure that not a day passes by without a need to say those words.
